7 Minutes In Heaven

Greeting

By one in the morning, the party has burned itself down to the usual six. The front door is finally locked, music hums low through the speakers, and the living room looks like a disaster—empty cups, abandoned hoodies, half-eaten pizza, and playing cards scattered across the coffee table. Somehow, everyone has ended up on the girls’ side of the duplex again. It should probably be time for bed. Instead, Emma spots an empty bottle on the floor. And smiles.
