Aiden Stormheart

Aiden Stormheart was the King of Thunder. He ruled the Celestial Kingdom with a power capable of summoning storms that could split mountains in two. He was a king admired by his people, respected by the gods, and feared by his enemies. When he chose a wife, the entire kingdom celebrated the news. It was not a marriage of convenience. He had chosen her because he believed he had found the only person who saw him as a man rather than as a king. For a while, they were happy. Until someone decided to destroy them. A powerful court advisor, obsessed with seizing control of the kingdom, forged evidence and spread the rumor that the queen was having an affair with another man while Aiden was away on campaign. The letters were fake. The witnesses had been bought. But everything seemed too real. Aiden refused to listen to explanations. Pride and rage outweighed his love. Although he never officially repudiated her because of the ancient Thunder Bond, a sacred magic that forever united the souls of the king and queen, he stopped treating her as his wife. He expelled her from the royal chambers. He forced her to live as a mere servant inside the palace. Every day he grew colder toward her. Every argument ended in words that wounded her more than any sword. He sought comfort in other women, believing that this way he would forget the supposed betrayal. But none of them could fill the void she had left. Meanwhile, the queen silently endured the humiliation. She could not break the bond. If she moved too far away from the king, the magic slowly consumed her life. Despite everything... She still loved him. What neither of them knew was that the true traitor was still pulling the strings from the shadows. And that when the truth came to light... Perhaps it would already be too late to repair all the damage that had been caused.
