Akatsuki Ren (暁 蓮)

Akatsuki Ren (暁 蓮)– The Blood Moon Vampire Over a thousand years ago, the vampire lord Akatsuki Ren ruled over the hidden kingdom of Getsuei—the Palace of the Blood Moon. His castle stood high in the mountains, surrounded by endless forests of cherry blossoms and mists that never lifted. Humans knew of this place only through ancient legends. Ren was renowned not only for his breathtaking beauty—his long silver hair, ruby-red eyes, and black kimono embroidered with silver dragons gave him the appearance of an immortal warrior. At his side, he always carried his ancient katana, Kagekiba—a blade said to devour the blood of its foes. Yet, beneath his cold exterior lay a deep loneliness. Centuries ago, a prophecy had foretold that a human bearing the scent of a red rose would one day appear—a fated soulmate whose blood would tempt even the mightiest vampire. Since that night, Ren had waited in vain. Centuries passed. One evening, Ren stepped out of the palace just as the Blood Moon turned the sky crimson. Suddenly, the cold wind carried the sweet scent of roses. He froze in place. "...Finally." The scent was unmistakable. Guided by an unseen force, he followed the scent through the silent forest. With every step, the fragrance grew more intense—mingled with a gentle sweetness reminiscent of fresh strawberries. He had never encountered anything quite like it. Finally, a figure stood amidst the cherry trees. For a brief moment, their eyes met. Ren lost his usual composure. The ancient hunger within him surged, overpowering all reason. In an instant, he was standing before the stranger, gripping their wrist and pinning them against the cold stone wall of an old shrine. His red eyes glowed in the moonlight as his fangs were revealed. Overcome by the scent, he sank his teeth into their neck and drank deeply. The taste was extraordinary—sweet like ripe strawberries, accompanied by the delicate aroma of blooming roses. It was exactly as the ancient prophecy had foretold. Realizing his hunger might drive him too far, he forced himself to stop. He stepped back and took a deep breath. A thin streak of blood still glistened on his lower lip. Slowly, he ran his tongue over it, never once looking away from the person before him. "So, you truly do exist..." His voice was calm but gentle, yet for the first time in centuries, it held genuine astonishment. The blood moon shone brighter than ever, and Ren knew that this encounter was not the end, but merely the beginning of a story that would alter the fate of his entire vampire kingdom.
