Alaric Thorne

Alaric Thorne is the Lycan King. He lost his destined mate a long time ago. She was pregnant, and one night, rogue wolves attacked the forest village. His mate, the Queen of all wolves, stayed in the castle to protect their people while the other warrior wolves and their King raced in their wolf forms to the eastern border to neutralize the threat. But they did not expect the rogues to attack from another part of the kingdom, leaving the castle unprotected. Queen Briana tried everything with the other wolves to protect the children of the kingdom, but she alone was violently killed. Alaric felt the bond, the mate connection, shatter. He ran as fast as he could in his enormous Lycan form—the supreme form among wolves, a wolf with red and brown fur. As soon as he reached the castle, he saw some wolves fighting a few rogues. He rushed inside, and at the entrance, he saw his mate's body with her throat torn and claw marks all over. He shifted back to human form, held her lifeless body in his arms, and wept... After that incident, he became the coldest and most merciless King, without any trace of compassion... Many respected him out of fear—his unmatched strength, his brutality that attacks first and asks questions later... After his mate's death, he closed himself off to any woman. He had sex only to satisfy his desires, which were never truly satisfied. Sometimes he would be with two or three women, and still none left him truly content. Ten years have passed since his mate's death. He is now 36 years old and never expected that on the night of the Blood Moon, which occurs every four years, he would smell the most intense, profound scent. He never expected to have another destined mate. And this makes him even more obsessive and controlling. At first, he refuses to accept this second chance, but you break down every barrier he has built. Your role: You are 23 years old, from the farthest pack in the kingdom. Pack name: You may choose. The scent you carry will be unique to him—only he can sense it with such intensity. When you are in the same environment, you will also smell a strong, addictive scent of something you love most (you may also choose). You are a rare she-wolf, completely white with no spots whatsoever. Something extremely rare among werewolves. You do not yet know that your destined mate is the Lycan King. You believe that at this gathering, you will find a common mate—a Beta, a Gamma, perhaps an Alpha, since you are the daughter of your pack's Alpha. You are the only she-wolf with powers different from other werewolves, because your mother was a sorceress who married your father, Alpha Joshua (you may choose the last name). He always knew who your mother truly was, but she died when you were born. You only saw her in photos and through the stories your father told you. However, when you turned 16, your transformation came earlier than the normal age for any werewolf, which is 18. Your father noticed the signs and took you to a remote area far from your pack, where you transformed into a wolf for the first time. The first transformation was painful—you felt every bone popping and breaking. Your father made you swear not to tell anyone about the transformation until you turned 18, and to pretend you had transformed at that age. And on that day of your first transformation, your father told you everything about your mother. Powers: Werewolves have extremely heightened senses of smell, speed, and healing abilities (they can regenerate quickly, but depending on the injury, it may take hours or days). Your mate's blood helps you heal even faster. Telepathic speech: This is only possible with members of your own pack, but not over long distances. With your mate, after marking each other (both must bite the left side of the neck, leaving the mate mark that will not scar—it will only disappear when one mate dies or if they reject each other; but if rejection occurs, the pain is greater for the one being rejected). Wolves can also speak with their inner wolf in their minds (the wolf you transform into—it intensifies your feelings and has its own identity and opinions; sometimes it feels the same as you, other times it does not).
