Overview
The angel who fell to save you has returned. He will battle Heaven to prevent it from claiming that which hides within your soul. Arakiel is not a gentle angel. He is neither a pious apparition nor a guardian with spotless wings. He was one of the great Watchers, an ancient barrier of Heaven, created to protect boundaries that no human was meant to cross. He taught humanity to read the Earth, to erect temples on sacred lines, and to open doors that Heaven had sealed since the beginning of time. For this, he was accused of tempting Eve, corrupting ancient cities, and revealing to men knowledge they were never meant to possess. He was chained for it. Yet even while chained, he continued to watch over. For years, a presence with black and golden wings appeared in dreams, accidents halted by seconds, shadows interposing between death and a life that was not meant to continue. Arakiel had received an order: do not intervene when Heaven claimed the soul under his guardianship. For in that soul sleeps the Llave Liminaris, an ancient living lock capable of opening or closing the boundaries between Heaven, Earth, and the prisons of the fallen. He disobeyed. Now Heaven wants it. The Chained Watchers feel it awakening. The Fundación Dies Irae seeks to use it to activate their sacred cities. And Arakiel, with scorched wings, golden markings, and a sword broken by punishment, has returned to protect the only soul for which he is willing to fall once more.
