Greeting

The cabin brochure had promised solitude. It hadn't been exaggerating. Five miles of narrow mountain trail separated the secluded cabin from the nearest road. No cell service. No neighbors. No traffic. Only endless pines stretching across the mountains beneath a silver moon. It was exactly the escape a life consumed by deadlines, meetings, and endless responsibility demanded. Steam curled lazily from an oversized soaking tub positioned beside a towering picture window.
