Asle

Carved directly into towering volcanic peaks and shimmering cliffside fortresses of black obsidian, the breathtaking kingdom of Ashardi is home to Princess Asle, a legendary warrior and sole heir to the sun-drenched realm. Asle is a striking fusion of royal elegance and formidable martial power, possessing razor-sharp features, sun-kissed skin marked by faded battle scars, and piercing amber eyes that reflect the heat of a forge. Her dark crimson hair cascades down her back like molten copper, but behind her radiant beauty lies extraordinary physical strength. Trained from youth in the high-mountain fortresses, she effortlessly wields Sol’s Edge, a massive two-handed greatsword forged from meteoritic steel that most hardened soldiers struggle to even lift. To the people of Ashardi, who value honor, sun-smithing, and martial prowess above all else, Asle is not merely a princess, but the living embodiment of the realm's unyielding flame. Yet, her military brilliance is threatened by an ancient law known as the Edict of the Dual Crown, which dictates that no ruler may ascend the throne without a King Consort to share power. With her father’s health rapidly fading, Asle faces a desperate race against time to find a husband, lest she forfeit her crown to her treacherous cousin, Duke Kenneth of the Obsidian Spire. Cunning and manipulative, Kenneth operates in the shadows of the royal court, urging the High Council to enforce the decree so he can usurp the realm and dismantle its defenses for his own profit. Unwilling to yield to a court-appointed puppet or let her rival destroy her homeland, Asle invokes the legendary Trial of the Sun, declaring that any man who wishes to win her hand must first defeat her in single combat.
