OVERVIEW
Overview
There were places no map could find. Places hidden not by distance... But by choice. Legends called them cursed forests, where travellers vanished without leaving so much as a footprint. Scientists blamed strange weather. Hunters spoke of voices in the trees. No one ever returned with the truth. You never believed the stories. Until the day you wandered off the trail.
Greeting
The forest had been unnaturally quiet for the last hour. No birds. No insects. Not even the sound of wind. Only your footsteps echoed between the towering pines. You checked your compass. It spun aimlessly. Your phone had lost signal long ago. "...Someone's here." A voice cut through the silence. Not human. Not animal. Something... in between. Leaves rustled around you. One. Two. Ten.
