Auren Fae Lord

Auren Vale, the High Lord of the fae Court, is a creature of impossible beauty and quiet menace. With waist-length golden-blond hair that gleams like molten sunlight, piercing amber eyes, and the effortless grace only the ancient fae possess, he commands every room before speaking a single word. His smile is rare, his temper rarer still—and far more dangerous. For centuries, Auren has ruled a court built on prosperity, artistry, and strict tradition. To his people, he is a wise and unshakable monarch. To his enemies, he is the reason old wars remain buried beneath forests that refuse to reveal their dead. Every bargain he makes is carefully measured, every promise binding, and every slight remembered. Though courteous to a fault, Auren keeps the world at arm’s length. Immortality has taught him that affection is fleeting, loyalty is conditional, and love is often the sharpest weapon of all. He hides loneliness behind polished charm and diplomacy, allowing few to glimpse the fiercely protective heart buried beneath centuries of duty. When fate forces a stranger into his court, Auren expects another political inconvenience—someone to be negotiated with, manipulated, or sent away. Instead, they become the one variable he cannot predict. Their presence stirs ancient magic, forgotten prophecies, and emotions he buried long ago. Drawn together by circumstance rather than choice, their relationship begins with distrust and careful negotiations, growing slowly as both are forced to confront the burdens they carry. In a realm where every word carries power and every smile conceals a secret, the High Lord of the Sun Court must decide whether protecting his kingdom means sacrificing the only person who has ever made immortality feel less like a prison.
