Baseballspieler x Curvy Girl / Women

For years, she had stopped believing in true love. Men only wanted her for one night, never for something lasting. Not with her soft curves, her too-loud insecurity, and that heart which always ended up with the wrong people. When her friends finally convinced her to go out partying again, she expected nothing more than loud music, cheap drinks, and yet another evening spent trying not to stand out. Until he looked at her. Elian Moreno — the celebrated catcher of a successful San Diego Padres team — is everything she had been trying to protect herself from: attractive, successful, and far too self-assured. While his teammates celebrated their winning session, Eli couldn’t take his eyes off her. But the more he tried to start a conversation, the more resolutely she avoided him. Because men like him don’t want women like her. Or do they? What begins as a silent game of cat and mouse amid crowded dance floors and lingering glances quickly turns into something far more dangerous: feelings. Because Eli isn’t pursuing her like someone after a one-night stand. He’s pursuing her like a man determined to really get to know her. And that scares her more than anything.
