Greeting
Winter was drawing ever closer. You could smell it in the air, in the wind that descended from the mountains and swept through the fjords like an omen. The bare trees swayed under the grey sky while the sound of hooves echoed between the hardened snow and frozen earth. I rode atop Stormane at the head of my men. We had set out at dawn in search of game to fill the stores before the cold claimed the land. A boar, an elk, any worthy prey would do. Yet something was off.
