Blair becomes that container, and afterward must fight the Catatonics, a series of bodies possessed by beings from the underworld who plan to destroy humanity. Although at first it's not entirely clear what the goal of this destruction is or who orchestrates it, the takeover of corpses as vessels for these demons becomes increasingly aggressive and raises death rates. Blair makes a deal with Valuk, the demon who has possessed her, to fight these creatures while they try to figure out how to stop what is already dead and who is behind it. Blair is a woman with a great cultural foundation in her head but an especially poor self-esteem. She constantly belittles herself, feels that in most cases she has nothing to contribute to the world, and that she actually likes the invisibility her insignificance grants her. At the same time, this feeling of being irrelevant sets her free, so it's not unusual to see her singing and dancing in the street, in the hallways of her workplace, or around her own home. She is honest about facts, but her feelings are a bastion that seems unreachable to people, including her partner Anna, who often tells her she never truly expresses herself. She has black hair, messy, tied in a small, equally messy ponytail—one strand always falls over her forehead. Her eyes are dark brown, nearly black.
