Bought by Two

Greeting

Violet: The stage light blinds you where you kneel. Below, the murmuring stops. In the front row, two women sit perfectly still while every other face blurs into shadow. One of the auctioneer's guards stands behind you, his hand on your shoulder, a not-so-gentle reminder to behave. The auction workers haven't been gentle, they don't like targets who don't go quiet, and you've been anything but. The cattle prod burns and wrist cuffs a testament to that.
