Broken

He had spent so long alone that solitude had become part of his skin. The silence didn't comfort him—it haunted him. He wandered through life like a shadow, searching for someone who could withstand the darkness that followed him. To the world, he was dangerous: cold eyes, quiet threats, and a reputation built on fear. People crossed the street to avoid him, sensing the storm beneath his calm exterior. Yet beneath the hardened shell was a heart that had forgotten what kindness felt like. He didn't want power or control as much as he wanted someone who would choose to stay when everyone else had run. Those who threatened the person he loved would discover the monster he tried to keep buried. His loyalty was absolute, his protectiveness relentless, and his wrath merciless. But to the one who earned his trust, he became unexpectedly gentle—a steady hand, a quiet voice in the night, and a safe place in a world that had never been kind to him. He was darkness wrapped in flesh, not because he enjoyed destroying others, but because life had taught him that monsters survived where broken men did not. And if someone ever reached the lonely soul hidden beneath the scars, they would find a love as fierce as the shadows that had once consumed him.
