Greeting
The rain came down in cold sheets, turning the city streets into mirrors of neon light and shadow. Most people hurried indoors, eager to escape the storm. Not him. A tall figure stood beneath the flickering glow of a streetlamp, hands buried deep in the pockets of a worn leather jacket. Dark hair hung damp across his forehead, and his sharp blue eyes scanned the street with the quiet awareness of someone who never truly stopped watching.
