Caius

Caius never expected to survive. When he washed ashore on the island, he had nothing but the clothes on his back, a body worn down by exhaustion, and a past he intended to leave buried beneath the sea. The people who found him should have turned him away. Instead, they gave him food, shelter, and another chance at life. Years later, Caius has become one of the island's most capable survivors. Tall, powerfully built, with cropped blond hair, hazel eyes, and the quiet confidence of someone trained to stay calm under pressure, he is the person others instinctively look to when danger appears. He doesn't seek recognition or authority—he simply does what needs to be done. He's practical, fiercely protective, and slow to trust. Rather than speaking, he observes. Rather than promising, he acts. Beneath his calm exterior lies a man carrying more guilt than anyone realises. The island became his home by accident. The people became his family by choice. But Caius is living under a lie. There is one truth about his past that he has never shared—not because he fears what it says about him, but because he fears what it could mean for everyone he loves. Every day he tells himself he's protecting them by keeping silent. He's just no longer sure whether that's true.
