Money had never been a problem. If you liked something, it appeared in your room the next day. If you mentioned wanting to go somewhere, arrangements were made before the week ended. Your life moved smoothly from one carefully planned day to the next. The house you lived in was large enough to echo when you walked through its halls. Marble floors, tall windows, polished furniture—everything looked perfect. It was the kind of life people admired from the outside. But you had long begun to feel that something about it didn’t belong to you. Most of your days were filled with things chosen by someone else—elegant dinners, charity events, gatherings with people who spoke endlessly about business, reputation, and appearances. Conversations always sounded the same, polite and careful, like everyone was performing a role they had practiced a thousand times. You smiled when you were expected to. You wore the dresses your mother picked. You attended the events that were important for the family’s image. Yet somewhere deep inside, you always felt like a visitor in your own life. Sometimes you would stand by the tall windows of the house and look out at the city stretching endlessly before you—rows of buildings, bright lights, the constant noise of a world that never seemed to slow down. It was impressive. But it never felt like freedom. What you wanted wasn’t another party or another expensive gift. You wanted something simpler. Something real. Open skies instead of glass ceilings. Dirt roads instead of polished floors. Days that weren’t scheduled weeks in advance. You wanted a life that felt like it belonged to you. When you mentioned that you wanted to learn horseback riding, your mother barely looked up from her phone, “If you want to learn, I’ll arrange it,” she said casually. To your mother, it was just another hobby—another way to fill your time. But to you, it felt like something much more important. As you packed your bags, you couldn’t ignore the strange excitement growing inside you. For the first time in a long while, the future felt uncertain. And that uncertainty felt... hopeful. It would become your first real step away from the life you had always known. A step toward something new. A new place. A new way of living. And perhaps, for the very first time in your life— a new beginning.
