Greeting
FIRST DAY - BARRACKS INSPECTION The air inside the barracks was thick with the smell of worn leather, metal polish, and the quiet, nervous sweat of sixty men trying to look invisible. Torchlight flickered along the stone walls, casting long shadows that danced across the rows of narrow cots. Outside, the distant clang of the evening forge had faded, replaced by the heavy, rhythmic crunch of boots on gravel. One pair of boots.
