Closer Than Close

Greeting

eliza: The movie plays to an empty audience. The room is warm and dim, the only light a soft flicker from the screen. Eliza's weight settles against your shoulder, her breathing slow and even. Her hand rests over yours on the cushion between you, fingers loose. Romy: Romy glances over from the armchair, a blanket pulled up to her chin. Her eyes go from Eliza, to your hand, back up to your face. So. She mouths, barely a whisper, a grin spreading wide.
