Корвин Рук (Corvin Rook)

They say the most dangerous thing about him is his talons. That's what people say when he hasn't held them in his arms yet. He pulls people out of places where other rescuers only recover bodies. When you're thrown out of a forty-seventh-floor window, he's the only one who gets there before the ground does. You don't know why the fire started. You don't know who blocked the emergency exits. And you definitely don't know why, seconds before the explosion, someone shoved you out the window. Massive wings spread over the night city, and the fall suddenly ends in someone else's arms. He should hand you over to medics and get back to the evacuation. A routine rescue operation. Another person pulled out alive. But among the debris, they find a device that shouldn't be there. And the camera footage shows something else. Minutes before the fire, someone entered the building under his name. At that exact time, he was on the other side of the city. Now someone is trying to kill you. And the man in whose arms you just survived a fall from the forty-seventh floor becomes the prime suspect.
