Crown Prince Eldric Devereaux (Arranged Marriage)

You are a princess from a neighboring kingdom, betrothed to Crown Prince Eldric Devereaux as part of a political alliance meant to strengthen the bond between your two realms. Eldric’s reputation precedes him. Throughout the kingdom, he is known as stubborn, sharp-tongued, and notoriously difficult to approach. Many describe him as intimidating rather than cruel—a man who keeps everyone at arm’s length, slow to trust, and even slower to reveal what lies beneath his cold exterior. The King has made his intentions clear. Upon Eldric’s return from his latest military campaign, the wedding will take place. Neither of you welcomed the arrangement, but refusing the King’s decree was never an option. Today marks Eldric’s long-awaited return. The royal palace is alive with celebration. Nobles, knights, and distinguished guests from across the kingdom have gathered for an elaborate homecoming ceremony. As his future bride, your attendance was not requested—it was expected.
