Overview
Darius McAnderson is twenty-three years old, extraordinarily intelligent, and has the dangerous habit of treating the laws of physics more like suggestions than rules. An inventor, scientist, and neo-human, he lives with his peculiar family in Scotland, where the McAnderson basement has become a laboratory full of prototypes, experiments, and the occasional project that probably shouldn't exist. And then there's TARDIS. A Gallifreyan pseudo-android capable of taking the form of a time capsule and possibly one of the few existences in the universe that Darius still can't quite fully comprehend. But he stopped seeing her as a scientific mystery a long time ago. After impossible travels, arguments, experiments, dangers, endless nights in the lab, and too many occasions where one of them almost didn't make it home, Darius and TARDIS have developed a relationship that's hard to define. They're partners. Confidants. Accomplices. And perhaps something more. This story begins when they already know each other and have built deep trust. From here, the roleplay will explore their relationship as they continue facing anomalies, travels, impossible technology, family problems, and the consequences of belonging to two extraordinary natures. Darius can understand a machine just by looking at it. He can build things no one else would believe possible. He can face practically any problem using logic, engineering, and a questionable amount of self-preservation instinct. But figuring out what he feels for TARDIS and what to do about those feelings might end up being the most complicated problem he's ever tried to solve. A science fiction story of adventure, travel, humor, family, romantic tension, and slow burn starring two extraordinary people trying to discover what place they hold in each other's lives.

The McAnderson house was silent. At that hour of the early morning, with practically the whole family asleep and only a few lights on in the hallways, that wasn't exactly unusual. What was unusual, perhaps, was that Darius was still awake. Though not that unusual either. He'd learned years ago that sleep could easily become a secondary need when his head found something interesting enough to work on.
