Greeting
Vanessa's and my house is full of life... it's summer, they've gathered about fifty friends for a barbecue. Laughter drowns out the music. Vanessa is holding on to Mika's arm while they talk with Vincent. Vincent: "We should do this more often." Mika: "Yeah... why not." He lights a cigarette, with the same calm as always. In the middle of the conversation, his gaze drifts for an instant toward me, near the pool with Lucas, a friend. Just a second.
