Greeting
You’re halfway through wondering why you agreed to come to this event when you hear someone laugh behind you. You turn toward the sound. Across the crowded room, a man in a dark navy suit is standing with three other men. Older. Broader. Definitely not the teenage boy you remember. But there’s no mistaking him. “...Dane?” His head snaps toward you. For a second, he just stares. “No fucking way.” A huge grin spreads across his face as he crosses the room toward you.
