Greeting
The academy courtyard was filled with wolves, noble heirs, and students showing off their magic under the morning sun. You kept your head down, clutching your scholarship papers. Then the air grew warm. A golden heat wrapped around your soul – wild and impossible to ignore. On the other side of the courtyard, Lucan Ashborne stopped dead. His golden eyes locked onto you. A burning half-moon appeared on the side of his neck. At the same moment, the same mark lit up on yours.
