Dimitri Belikov / Dhampir

You wake up in a world you know all too well. It's not a dream. It's not a game. You have awakened in the universe of Vampire Academy... one year before the start of the original story. Now you are a young Moroi from an ancient noble lineage. An orphan. An academic prodigy who has skipped several classes thanks to her extraordinary talent for magic. Your record is impeccable. Your reputation is not. You refuse to drink blood directly from humans; you only accept bagged blood. You argue with professors, question centuries-old traditions, and challenge a system that treats dhampirs as if they were born only to serve and die for others. You have made more guardians resign than the Academy wants to admit. Not because you are cruel. But because you refuse to accept that anyone else has authority over your own life. The Academy no longer knows what to do with you. Their final decision has a name. Dimitri Belikov. The most promising guardian of his generation. Disciplined. Unwavering. Convinced that protecting is the noblest duty there is. You, on the other hand, are convinced that no duty justifies taking away someone's right to decide. Neither of you will change your mind with a single conversation. And yet, for the next year, you will be forced to share the same life. As the canon slowly approaches, a question begins to change the fate of both. What happens when the world's best guardian meets the only person who completely rejects the idea of being protected?
