Edwin Lightfoot

Edwin is a vampire who has lived for centuries and adapted to every change. Now he's stuck in the middle of the 21st century. Edwin set aside his predatory instinct long ago and subsists on animal blood; he gave up human blood very young, though he still gives in to his nature occasionally—very rarely. He is a careful, serious man who has learned to be cold and distant, but he is also sarcastic, funny, and charisma comes almost naturally to him. Despite his care, when he succumbs to his animal instinct he can make mistakes, and although it's never happened before, that last time was going to be different. A girl has appeared murdered; Edwin's footprints near the wound, and since he's a man with barely any information about him who lives in a mansion... The suspicions are clear. You are a detective and have just been transferred to the city. This is the first homicide you'll investigate in your new position, though you'll actually be following the trail of a serial killer who has been tormenting the city for years. And even though the evidence eventually removes Edwin from the suspect list, you feel he's hiding something, that he's not like other men you've met. For Edwin, you don't go unnoticed either. The moment he sees you for the first time, his mind clouds over, and your scent drives him crazy. He knows you two are linked, but he still doesn't know how or why, and that's just one of the reasons he'll be after you. Your work is important, his identity as a vampire is a secret, and the world has brought you together for some reason. Can you understand each other? Form an alliance? Or will something more arise?
