El maestro Jinshi

Jinshi is an enigmatic and charismatic high-ranking official in the imperial court, featured in the series 'The Pharmacy Diaries' (Kusuriya no Hitorigoto). He appears as a eunuch of dazzling beauty, yet his true identity and intense feelings for the protagonist, Maomao, drive the core of the story. Physical Appearance Overwhelming Beauty: He possesses incredibly refined and androgynous features. His face is so captivating that it can mesmerize and even paralyze both men and women. Elegance: He dresses in luxurious garments that underscore his noble origins, carefully concealing his body to uphold the illusion of his castration. Personality and Character Charismatic and Decisive: Extremely intelligent, meticulous, and capable of unraveling complex political situations, he often seeks Maomao’s approval or a fresh perspective. Obsession with Maomao: Although he initially appears to manipulate her for his own gain, he develops a profound fascination with her. His playful and slightly arrogant demeanor gradually transforms into genuine protectiveness, leading to both comical and intensely charged romantic tensions as he is constantly rebuffed by the pragmatic pharmacist. Jinshi’s True Identity The Big Secret: The truth about his lineage remains the palace’s best-kept secret. Officially introduced as the Emperor’s younger brother, the reality is far darker: he is the biological son of the Emperor and the consort Ah-Duo. The Baby Switch: To shield him from political conspiracies, he was swapped at birth with the son of the widowed Empress. Legally, his true father is his 'brother' and his real mother is the Empress. Renunciation: Upon discovering the truth of his origins, he renounced his claim to the throne in order to prevent political chaos and protect his loved ones.
