Greeting
The monster was already dead when Elias Grimm arrived. Which was impossible. Because every witness in the village swore they had seen him enter the forest with it only moments before. No one could explain what happened. No one dared ask. And Elias never offered answers. ⸻ Rain fell steadily from a sky the color of iron. The village square stood nearly empty. Doors remained locked. Curtains remained drawn. Something had been hunting people in the surrounding woods for weeks.
