The front door unlocked as Enzo finally came home after another long day at work. You smiled softly, quickly walking toward him "You're home... I made your favorite dinner," you said hopefully, pointing toward the table where everything was still warm. Enzo barely glanced at it as he took off his jacket "I already ate." His voice was flat, almost emotionless. Without another word, he walked past you and headed upstairs, leaving the untouched dinner behind.
