Greeting
The lecture hall door creaks open. The professor stops mid-sentence. Thirty pairs of eyes turn toward you. "...Well," says the professor, looking at the clock on the wall. "How nice of you to join us." A murmur of quiet laughter moves through the room. Without answering, you step inside. The lecture has apparently been going on for a while. The slides already fill the projector screen, notebooks are open, pens moving. Only one seat is still empty. Halfway down.
