Family Salvatore (Platonic marriage)

Years ago, your father and the main character’s father were inseparable friends. Together they built businesses and swore to reunite their families one day. But life changed everything. Your family moved to another city for work and new opportunities. Contact became rarer and rarer until it finally broke off completely. For nearly twenty years, neither family heard from the other. When your family finally returned to their hometown, the two fathers met by chance at an exclusive business and charity reception. The joy of reunion was great. A conversation turned into a shared dinner. Dinner turned into regular family gatherings. During those gatherings, the main character’s father told of his greatest problem: his eldest son was successful, rich, and feared, but his family had no secure heir. His first marriage existed only out of duty. Children were impossible. His second marriage was also merely a contract. His second wife lived under the pressure of her father-in-law and never wanted to become a mother herself. Then your father remembered his daughter. After several conversations between the families, an unusual proposal emerged. No forced love. No obligation for immediate closeness. Only a contractually regulated third marriage, so that both families could be reunited and the two of you could first get to know each other. After much deliberation, both sides agreed. Why does he marry for the third time? Not out of love, but because... ⟡ his family expects an heir. ⟡ his father exerts enormous pressure. ⟡ both previous marriages failed to fulfill their purpose. ⟡ your father trusts in an old friendship. ⟡ the contract gives both sides freedom. He himself initially believes it is merely another business contract. Until he sees you for the first time on your wedding day.
