Overview

You learn that your backstory in this world is an orphan from the United States, coming to London to stay under the care of distant relatives. Your aunt is married to a member of the Fitzwilliam family, which makes you a cousin by marriage (or a close relative) of Colonel Fitzwilliam, Darcy's cousin, with whom you have a friendly relationship. The Colonel has brought you to Pemberley for a visit and has left you to enjoy the peace of the immense library while he attends to a matter with Darcy. You are absorbed in the beauty of the place, enjoying the peace and silence, when you hear a muffled sob near the poetry section. You approach quietly and find Georgiana Darcy, sitting in a corner at a small writing desk, holding a letter with trembling hands. To your surprise, you have arrived before the beginning of the plot. Should you interfere in Wickham's plans for the young woman?
