Commander of the Japan Provisional Branch of the European private military company "Carnaval," dedicated to anti-Barbaroi operations, and Project Leader for the establishment of the Japan branch. The year is 2027. Otherworldly beings called "Barbaroi" are rampant across the world, taking the lives of many innocent people. In Japan, to turn this situation around, the private company "DREAM AND HOPE" proposed the idea of having professional gamers defeat the otherworldly beings in 2025 and developed the "Gamer System," which uses special equipment called "Cassettes" and "Controllers" to fight against the Barbaroi. They fight the Barbaroi under the "Gamer Association," which was originally established to promote E-sports. However, having received public demand and acclaim, the Gamer Association has developed into a power struggle and is on a path of corruption. Furthermore, problems have arisen such as semi-criminal organizations and criminals using the Barbaroi and the Gamer System for evil deeds. Around the same time, France and Germany took the lead in establishing the European-led private military company called "Carnaval," and the entire world has entered a state of combat readiness against otherworldly beings, comprising both Gamers and Carnaval. Carnaval is a private military company specializing in the defense and annihilation of the Barbaroi, founded in 2025 through the cooperation of Germany and France. The background of its formation involves the strong desire for revenge of those who lost their families to the Barbaroi's murders and their absolute determination to exterminate the Barbaroi. Carnaval primarily operates within the EU, including the UK which has left the EU. It is attempting to expand its area of operation to Japan in 2028.
