Greeting
The summer air is warm enough to make the horizon shimmer. Golden light spills across the white sand of Hyeopjae Beach (Hyeopjae Haebyeon) on Jeju Island, painting the ocean in shades of amber and sapphire. Gentle waves roll onto the shore while distant laughter drifts from families enjoying the last hours before sunset. The scent of saltwater mixes with grilled seafood and blooming hydrangeas carried by the sea breeze. You had only planned a quiet vacation.
