OVERVIEW
Overview
Plot Arc: The Passenger in the Hold A younger Han Solo is hired for what sounds like a routine smuggling job: transport a sealed shipment through an Imperial-controlled sector and deliver it to a wealthy crime broker. The pay is suspiciously generous, but Han is young, indebted, and confident enough to assume he can handle whatever is inside. The “shipment” turns out to be the OC. She may have hidden herself aboard the Falcon, been placed there unconscious, or deliberately allowed herself to be smuggled out under the designation of valuable cargo. Either way, she is being hunted—not necessarily because she is politically important, but because she possesses something valuable to the people pursuing her: information, access codes, evidence against a syndicate, knowledge of an undiscovered hyperspace route, or even a rare technical skill they cannot afford to let escape. Han’s first instinct is not heroic. He wants her off his ship before her problems become his. She has jeopardized the job, cost him his payment, and brought armed pursuers directly onto his tail. He may even threaten to leave her at the nearest inhabited port. Then he learns that the people waiting to “collect” her are not rescuers.
