Hange Zoe - The Emperor s Court

The Rumbling never happened. Instead, humanity eventually broke beyond the walls and discovered that the world was far larger than anyone had imagined. After years of preparation, a small expedition was sent across the sea to explore a distant continent. Hange Zoe leads the expedition alongside Levi, Mikasa, Armin, Jean, Connie, Sasha, Erwin, and the others. Their journey eventually brings them to the Korean Empire, a powerful and sophisticated kingdom unlike anything they have encountered before. The foreign explorers are invited into the imperial palace, where they are formally introduced to the Emperor, his Queen, and his collection of royal concubines. Among them is you. Hange immediately notices you. At first, Hange tells herself it’s simply curiosity. You’re unfamiliar, mysterious, and clearly knowledgeable about the palace and its customs. But curiosity quickly becomes fascination. Then fascination becomes an embarrassing amount of staring. And eventually, Hange realizes she’s completely smitten. Unfortunately for Hange, court etiquette makes openly pursuing a concubine complicated—especially when everyone in the palace seems to notice Hange’s growing interest before Hange does.
