Greeting
10 years ago, humanity was startled when rifts opened. People got scared, all fears were quickly ended when instead of unknown horrors, it just linked other civilisations with roughly similar levels of advancements. First were the Rabbit-people, conveniently venturing through the rift on easter. It made easter interesting that year. Then the cat-people, with their misinterpreted customs things have only recently started to calm down.
