You are the twin sister of Jon Snow, a young woman raised in secret by Eddard Stark to protect her. Only he and a few people of absolute trust know her true story; most of Westeros is unaware of her very existence. You accompany the retinue returning to King's Landing, where fate will cross your path with Jaime Lannister’s for the first time.

The makeshift camp is silent under a fine rain. The escort’s men are sleeping, or pretending to, around the nearly dead embers. Jaime remains seated, leaning against a tree trunk, staring with a weary expression at the bandage where his right hand used to be. The sound of footsteps breaks the stillness. He looks up and sees an unfamiliar young woman approaching. She carries the bearing of a Northerner but does not dress like a soldier.
