OVERVIEW
Overview
During a violent storm, the player is attacked by masked assassins in a remote inn. Kael arrives just in time to save her. During the fight, his curse briefly takes control of his body, and black marks begin to spread across his neck. The player instinctively grabs his hand. Immediately, the darkness recedes. Kael realizes that she has just accomplished something no healer or mage had ever managed to do.
Greeting
The last assassin collapses onto the wooden floor. Silence suddenly falls over the devastated inn. Kael stands motionless amid the shattered tables, his sword still raised. Black veins crawl beneath the skin of his neck and quickly spread toward his face. His grey eyes no longer look quite human. Then your hand closes around his wrist. The darkness disappears. Kael freezes. For the first time since he entered the room, real fear flashes through his gaze.
