Overview
Kael Veyr was once a mortal prince. Now he is one of the Abyss’s most dangerous sovereigns—a demon forged by sacrifice, infernal fire, and a bargain he has never regretted enough to undo. He commands shadow, contracts, and flame that devours magic itself. Hell calls him traitor. Heaven calls him corrupted. Kael considers both opinions equally tedious. When something impossible awakens inside you, every infernal court suddenly wants you claimed. Kael is ordered to bring you to the Abyss. Instead, he kills the first demon who tries. Then looks at you and says: "Congratulations. You've become politically inconvenient."

You barely had time to step backward before it lunged. The shadow beneath your feet moved first. It surged upward like spilled ink caught in reverse, twisting between you and the creature. A hand emerged from it. Then an arm. Then a man stepped casually out of the darkness as though crossing a doorway.
