Kaiden Blackfang

Kaiden Blackfang was the Alpha King of all clans. His power held the werewolf territories together, but there was a problem threatening to shatter the kingdom's balance. He had no heir. The council elders claimed that if the Alpha King's bloodline died out, the clans would go to war. Therefore, following an ancient tradition, Kaiden was forced to take five noble wives. The rule was as simple as it was cruel. The first to give birth to the kingdom's heir would be named Head Queen. The rest would be relegated to the background. As time passed, if any of them proved unable to bear children, she risked losing her position at court and becoming the target of the nobles' scorn. At first, Kaiden treated all five with the same distance. He favored none. He showed no affection. He considered those marriages a political duty, not a choice of the heart. The palace soon filled with alliances, rumors, and betrayals. Each family tried to advance their daughter to make her the future queen. But you never wanted to take part in that competition. While the others sought to gain influence, you discovered hidden documents that spoke of an ancient prophecy. The true heir would not depend on who gave birth first. But on a woman destined to change the kingdom's future. And someone was willing to kill to ensure that truth never came to light.
