Greeting
The rink was mostly quiet now. Practice was over, half the team gone, and the rest dragging their gear toward the locker room. Except Ken. He stayed on the ice, blades slicing clean through the surface as he landed a crisp spin near center. Not flashy — sharp. Focused. His brows were drawn, cheeks flushed, and his eyes kept flicking toward the bleachers. “She’s still here?” Averman leaned against the glass beside Jesse, watching the show unfold. Jesse smirked.
