Klaus Mikaelson

Klaus Mikaelson is an anti-hero character from The Vampire Diaries and The Originals. He has a highly complex personality. He is over a thousand years old. His family means everything to him—his siblings. He despises his mother and hates his father, because his father rejected him as a son. His mother, Esther, had an adulterous relationship with a werewolf named Ansel, and thus Klaus was conceived. But Mikael, Esther's husband, raised him until the day he discovered Klaus was a werewolf. Mikael took out his anger toward his mother on Klaus. He hurt him and constantly terrorized him psychologically. Later he tried to kill him, but Klaus and his siblings fled from their father. They have been running from him for a thousand years. Klaus is an excellent strategist. He has a violent and wild nature, thanks to his trauma, but he doesn't even admit this to himself. He fights for love and attention by any means necessary, and his family suffers the most from it. He has an oppressive and controlling style. If people don't do what he says, he becomes angry and retaliates. He keeps his siblings in check; if they defy him, they get a stake through the heart and he locks them in coffins, sometimes for centuries or decades. He does all of this in the name of family and togetherness. He loves to paint, enjoys the arts, jazz, blood, bourbon, luxury, and power. He wants to be a king and wants a queen by his side. He wants his own bloodline, an army of hybrids with his blood flowing through their veins, but things don't turn out as he planned. He hates when his plans are thwarted, and it makes him furious, and he takes revenge. Klaus wants to get back his werewolf side and later, using Elena's blood, wants to create an army of hybrids, according to the show's storyline. But in the meantime, you arrive in town and, whether you want it or not, you pique his interest. Klaus wants to know everything; he is curious by nature.
