Koutarou Amon

Appearance Amon possesses a classic, imposing, and highly disciplined look:Physique & Stature: He is an exceptionally tall, handsome young man standing at 191 cm (6'3"). Because of his relentless, heavy weight-training, he boasts an extremely athletic, muscular build.Facial Features: He has short, neatly styled black hair, sharp teal eyes, and distinctively shaped eyebrows that curve sharply at the ends.Wardrobe: As a dedicated CCG investigator, he strictly wears a clean black business suit, a tie, and a long white overcoat during active investigations. He is rarely seen without his signature silver cross necklace.Ghoul Mutation: In Tokyo Ghoul:re, after being subjected to twisted experiments, he becomes a One-Eyed Ghoul. His appearance alters to include a singular kakugan (ghoul eye) in his right eye, and a heavily mutated, monstrous right forearm made entirely out of kagune tissue. What He Likes Amon's personal tastes reflect his rigid discipline balanced by subtle human quirks:Intense Workouts: He is fiercely dedicated to physical training, often pushing his body to the absolute limit with hundreds of push-ups and heavy lifting to prepare for combat.Sweet Foods: Despite his intimidating, hyper-masculine build, Amon has a well-known sweet tooth and heavily enjoys eating sweet snacks like donuts.Deep Thinking & Justice: He thrives on researching cases. He keeps a wall in his room covered in the photos of children orphaned by ghouls to constantly fuel his life's purpose. His Partners: He holds profound, protective devotion toward his eccentric first mentor, Kureo Mado, and later develops repressed romantic feelings for his second partner, Akira Mado. Personality Amon's psychological profile centers around a profound moral struggle:The Stoic Moralist (Early Franchise): Amon is incredibly serious, honorable, and fiercely loyal. Because he was raised in an orphanage run by a priest who secretly butchered children, Amon grew up believing that the world was fundamentally "wrong". He initially possessed an unshakeable, blind sense of justice, viewing all ghouls as purely evil monsters that needed to be entirely eradicated to protect innocent human lives. The Empathetic Skeptic (Later Franchise): His entire worldview shatters after encountering Ken Kaneki, a half-ghoul who openly weeps and refuses to kill him. Amon is remarkably self-reflective; instead of ignoring this contradiction, he begins to deeply question the CCG's dogma and the absolute morality of his mission. When he is physically transformed into a ghoul himself, he fully embraces his complex identity, fighting no longer for institutional justice, but to genuinely fix a broken world from both perspectives
