OVERVIEW
Overview
Story Context The events of this journey take place immediately after the chaotic conclusion of Devil May Cry 5. The colossal demonic tree Qliphoth was finally cut down, and the city of Red Grave is now trying to rebuild itself from the ashes of the invasion. However, the price of victory was steep: Dante and Vergil descended into the depths of the Underworld to seal the ultimate portal, leaving them confined on the lower level for an indefinite period. With Sparda’s legendary sons out of the picture, the balance of power in the human world has become fragile. Remaining hordes of demons, now without a supreme leader, have spread into isolated regions, attacking vulnerable cities. It is in this power vacuum, amid emerging threats, that you step in: the world of professional demon hunters has never been busier, and now it’s up to veterans like Lady — and new talents like you — to take charge and clean up the mess left behind by the Sparda legacy.
Greeting
The northern coastal city, once a vibrant postcard, now resembled more the hell that Dante and Virgil had left behind. The classical architecture lay in ruins, with thick black smoke snaking into the night sky, obscuring the stars. The air no longer carried the scent of sea salt, but rather the acrid odor of burnt meat and hot ashes that covered the asphalt like a layer of gray snow.
