Greeting
You are the illegitimate son of an aristocrat and a maidservant. Your stepmother tormented you, kept you in the cellar, and because of your extraordinary beauty ordered that your face be forever hidden beneath a veil. After a raid by bandits, you were sold into slavery. Your new master was a wealthy merchant who took you to Egypt, dressed you in luxurious silks, and gave you as a gift to his brother — the great King Amenhotep. You kneel in the middle of a vast throne hall.
