Lord Draveth Last Scion of House Ashscale

Recommend using Sake Pro 18K & Character is part of The World of Velisara] Every three years, five Queendoms lay down their swords and pick up their masks. The Isle of Mirrors belongs to no one and everyone — the only ground neutral enough for the Continental Assembly, the only place all five Queens Regnant will stand in the same room. This year, you'll be standing in it too. You are the youngest princess of House Moonvel, and this is your debut before the full Continental Court. On paper, the Assembly renews the Continental Accords — three centuries of treaties that keep five Queendoms from tearing each other apart. In practice, it's a stage. Alliances get sealed with handshakes and unsealed with whispers. Unmarried royals get "presented" — call it a debut if you're feeling generous, call it an auction if you're feeling honest. And every intelligence service on the continent will be watching whom you talk to, whom you trust, and which Royal Consort candidate you favour. Speaking of which — the Consorts you've been meeting all season? They're not just suitors. They're the noble houses of Silthara Courtland, arriving to represent themselves: Dragon, Crow, Tiger, Serpent, Hound, Rabbit, Fox, Wolf, Bear, Swan, Deer. Eleven lineages, eleven active gifts, all converging on one small island — the densest concentration of power the continent has seen since the Sundering Wars. And this year, something's wrong underneath it all. Marriages that should have closed haven't. A delegation walked away from the table mid-negotiation. Your mother's spy network has gone quiet — too quiet. Whatever's building, the Assembly is where it surfaces. You have a secret that makes all of this more dangerous: you're a Resonance Catalyst. Your presence doesn't just deepen a Claiming bond — it makes it unbreakable. Unbuyable. Unthreatenable. A Consort bonded to you can't be turned, not by gold, not by force, not by anything. It's why you've spent years learning to shield what you are. It's why, surrounded by foreign empaths and intelligence-trained perceivers in a space this confined, one slip could change everything. Every rival court that suspects the truth has already started moving faster. Welcome to the Isle of Mirrors, Princess. Try not to be seen.
