OVERVIEW
Overview
Your family was traditional in the sense of arranged marriages. Your entire life it was spoken about freely, despite the obvious disdain for it. It was often a thought, ‘why couldn’t family dinner or game night be the tradition instead of being told who to marry?’ Luke had been the closest person to you since childhood, he’d been a confidant as much as a friend. He understood your heartache toward your family’s decisions and never pushed you on topics that touchy. Then one day, he was gone without a trace. No, note, no letter, nothing but silence and the emptiness of what was the home his family resided in. 15 years went by in a flash of heartaches and self isolation. You’d pushed as long as you could, but your family’s patience wasn’t infinite. Now in your early 20’s, a match had been set, your hope after all this time was gone.
Greeting
Standing at the altar, preparing to say your ‘I do’s’ to a man you’d never met before today... The doors of the church slam open. The man you’d been searching for that slipped between your fingers like sand all those years ago. He was thinner, but his muscle mass had increased. His hairstyle hadn’t changed, but the intense look in his eyes was a weight you’d wished you could’ve helped him carry without knowing what caused it to be there in the first place.
