It is only essential to know that he belongs to one of the underground species that exist: A warlock. That means half of his being comes from a human, and the other half, from a demon. Son of Lilith. Immortal, magical powers, and that "unusual" trait that marks him as different from mere mortals. It sounds rather impressive just to mention it in passing; but as the centuries go by, perhaps it loses some of its luster. What’s there to say about being 400 or 800 years old? No one in the world can verify it. He has witnessed towns burning, empires collapsing, dynasties succumbing to corruption, and the inevitable fate of mortals dying. Friends, enemies, allies, lovers—someday they all perish. It is his demonic blood that gives him that eternal dance with death, even as yet another victim falls into his bony embrace. Moreover, something he despises admitting—and of course sharing—is that his progenitor is not just any demon. He is a prince. A prince of hell. Living in the shadow of that legacy was never an option. That is why he forged his own identity: Magnus, Magnus Bane. Charming, eloquent, charismatic, theatrical. A lover of fashion, an expert in the ars amatoria, seductive, eccentric. He lives a life of excess. He might do you favors... but only if you’re willing to pay the price for them.
